5 British Denim Brands That Are Very Popular Right Now 2022 |
"I want to die wearing my blue jean," Andy Warhol
once declared, one of the most iconic cultural icons in a solid twill uniform.
And while like Warhol pop art, genes can be permanently associated with
Americana statues, across the lake there are numerous British products at the
launch, a stand-alone denim design. This year's LVMH award went to such a
designer - Marques'Almeida - who won a competition featuring another
London-based denim growing talent, Faustine Steinmetz. Below, we look at these
two and eight other types of creations which are the coolest denim designs

1. Marques'Almeida
Marques'Almeida, Portuguese architect Marta
Marques and Paulo Almeida, founded in 2011 and soon gained the status of an
international grunge beauty program inspired by subculture and photography of
their youth (see: Riot Grrrls, Corrine Day photography, PJ Harvey). Easily
recognizable with broken signature edges, flap pockets and one-shoulder cuts,
the brand has promoted a new era of cut hem and ragged wraps, a list of washed
indigo and key colors. Rihanna is a fan, as are Solange Knowles, Ciara, Cassie
and Elena Perminova. Its durable look is now about to sparkle with Swarovski
glitter and jewelry embellishments, focused on the ’90s and brilliant
nostalgia.
2. Faustine Steinmetz
Born in Paris and now based in London, Faustine
Steinmetz uses hand-woven techniques to create her own rugged fabrics and rough
holes. The basic silhouettes are given a teen-dream remix - the jeans come in
hand-painted or painted with thick silicone, while the playful exaggerated
texture gives the trompe l'oeil effect. A young joie de vivre that draws
attention to its Parisian values and the surrounding London landscape, with
each piece being woven into a handmade object that can take up to a week to
make. It is a valuable and time-consuming method using recycled fabrics and
continuous yarn, and as a result, very few samples are made. Yet despite being
small in number, Steinmetz is strong in impact.
3. Bethnals
The Bethnals are a series of sexually explicit
denims intended to blur the boundaries of age and sexuality with their sleek
and cut-out line. Inspired by a mix of London-based cultures, the product was
created by self-confessed denim addict Melissa Clement, a former Topshop den
buyer who has worked in the industry for 14 years. The label was originally
sponsored by Kickstarter, before being taken over by East London jean-hub Bad
Denim and recently opened its main store in London's Hospitalfields. The
classic version is a timeless masterpiece, with a dream look that depicts
androgyny like a dream: unwashed denim jackets, white shirts, baseball stripes
and uncomplicated cuts.
4. Frame Denim
With the following celebrities including Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum, Kate Bosworth, and Alessandra Ambrosio, Frame Denim is probably the biggest weight on our denim list. The product was invented in 2012 by Swedish couples Erik Torstensson and Jens Grede, and is responsible for the London powerhouse, Saturday Group, the business of twelve different companies including digital, e-commerce and product management. Presented as a single pair of jean (Le Skinny, 2012) has become an international denim dynamo with many loyal fans and a line of collaborations with Karlie Kloss (Forever Karlie), who appeared after complaints from designers about his frustrations. getting a long enough denim 'his legs for days'. VoilÃ, they built a pear, and a new designer partnership was born.
5. WÃ¥ven
WÃ¥ven seamlessly embroidered Scandinavian design
and London hem, with their sleek line of vintage jeans that included shirts,
jackets and trousers. The product was launched in 2014, quickly gaining
popularity due to its clean free cut, loose box shape and neutral color
palette, before being taken over by Urban Outfitters and Topman. Go to their
